Treatment Descriptions

Crowns

Confidence is easily dampened when a tooth breaks. Crowns are recommended when fillings get too big and increase the chance for breakage, or if a tooth shows signs of a fracture or crack. A dental crown at Gentle Creek Dental may be the answer to many problems. We can build and restore your ideal tooth by choosing to place a crown. The crowning process can:

  • Protect weak teeth
  • Cover & support a tooth that is nearly disintegrated
  • Cover misshapen or discolored teeth
  • Restore a broken or worn down tooth
  • Make a cosmetic alteration
  • Cover a dental implant
  • And much more

Preparing the tooth for a crown includes numbing your tooth and gums. The tooth will then be prepared along the surface and sides to allow the crown to fit. If your tooth is one that has a large amount of mass missing, Dr. Mueller will need to do a filling to rebuild your tooth structure prior to the crown. Your crown will later be inserted after it is custom made to fit perfectly in your mouth. This process can take up to two visits and will fix any unwanted characteristics in your worn down and faded tooth.

Veneers

Is there something about your smile that you would like to fix? If so, veneers may be an option for you! Dr. Mueller offers natural looking porcelain veneers to make smiling a happy and enjoyable experience rather than something you’re embarrassed about. Porcelain veneers resist stains and reflect the image of your beautiful, natural teeth.

White Fillings

Do you ever notice your silver fillings and wish you could leave your dentist appointment without such noticeable restorations? Gentle Creek Dental offers white dental fillings that look so natural you won’t even know they are there. Pop into the office and take care of those cavities that have been quietly forming and progressing over time.

Dr. Mueller can provide composite resins, or white filling, that are durable, long lasting, and will combat the stress of the normal, everyday chewing. These are proven to be very successful and allow you to laugh and smile without showing any silver in your teeth. White fillings are made from powdered glass or quartz combined with a resin base. Come in and take care of those cavities and feel the comfort of a bright white smile when you leave!

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are a wonderful way to fill any undesired gaps in your mouth. Deciding to take advantage of a dental bridge can bring back your smile, giving you the ability to chew with ease, and prevent any natural teeth from drifting or sliding out of place. Dr. Mueller can insert a bridge if you have one or multiple teeth missing. We offer bridges to help you eat wisely and smile nicely!

A dental bridge can anchor on existing teeth or dental implants. Your bridge can be made from gold, alloys, silver or porcelain and will also preserve the shape of your face. Bridges are secured by placing crowns on the existing teeth on both sides. If there are no existing teeth, the bridge can be attached to dental implants that are surgically embedded into your jaw. This process will not only reflect the image of natural teeth, but also the image of healthy roots, making the bridge insertion strong and reliable. Bridges can give you the chance to enjoy the beauty of a healthy smile once again.

Whitening

Dr. Mueller offers two ways to have your brightest, whitest smile:

  • Laser Whitening: Your visit will involve a few simple steps. We will place a unique liquid dam to protect your gums and apply professional grade bleaching gel to your teeth while you sit under laser whitening light for about an hour.
  • Take Home Whitening: This is a very popular option with our patients. Dr. Mueller will make custom trays from molds of your teeth and have you use our professional grade bleaching gel within the comfort of your home.

Root Canal Therapy

When a tooth begins to hurt or change color it usually causes us to race to the dentist fearing the worst. When possible Dr. Mueller wants you to be able to keep your teeth your entire life. Sometimes a tooth can become so sick that the inside of that tooth may need to be removed to stop pain, decay or resorption.

Root canal therapy is a procedure where your tooth is opened and the infected pulp is removed. Once the damaged pulp is no longer present, Dr. Mueller will clean, shape, fill and seal your tooth. We offer root canal therapy to relieve toothaches, prevent the spread of infection and restore cracking teeth. After a tooth has been root canal treated it is the standard of care to crown the tooth to prevent splitting.

Clear Correct Aligners

Clear Correct invisible aligners allow you to straighten your teeth without the inconvenience of metal wires.

Full & Partial Dentures

When you have lost many, or all, of your natural teeth dentures will help restore your ability to eat and smile with confidence.

Extractions

Sometimes when a tooth hurts, it can’t be saved. When past dental repair, tooth extraction will relieve pain and leave you with cosmetic and functional options for replacement.
